Anyone that has ever had a chance to ride an OjO scooter will agree that this is really one of the smoothest, sturdiest, most pleasant personal electric transportation device currently available. Plus, it looks very cool.
This is a product of three year research and collaborative effort to create simple, but stable form of sustainable transportation designed for the bike lane. But being designed for such a specific niche, can it make a name for itself on a swarming market?

Design & Build
No photos can accurately depict how well this scooter is made. It is right up there with the high-end scooters, both electric and gas ones. It has all the features and functions of the highway-worthy two-wheelers, packed in a compact design, ready for the bike lane.
The all-welded aluminum under chassis supports weight capacity of over 300lbs, unlike small two-wheel foldable scooters that make majority of what’s currently available. Every little detail is designed to ensure durability and long-lasting quality, while providing a smooth and stable riding experience. It is designed to be ridden standing up or sitting down, thanks to the removable seat column.
Power & Range
OjO goes to top speed of 20 mph, thanks to the patented 500W HyperGear hub motor. The patented gear system improves its power and hill climbing ability, so you will be able to conquer up to 18 degree hills, though not too fast.
This scooter goes up to 25 miles on a single charge, which enough of a range to cover your daily transportation needs. We are still waiting on that 50 miles range model announced at CES.
Ojo features motorcycle grade tubeless tires for optimal, road-gripping performance. Combined with front and rear disc brakes provide you will ride safely, even in wet road conditions. The rear full suspension and front mono-shock add to the comfort.
An interactive, non-glare touchscreen allows you to monitor the performance of your ride, choose between three speed modes, control lighting and sound and more.
Ojo scooter also includes extra features for the ultimate riding experience: dual integrated waterproof bluetooth speakers, innovative voice response system, LED headlight and tail lights, a motion activated alarm, wireless key fob and a convenient (optional) rear basket. The OjO’s treaded, non-slip deck and specially designed adjustable seat provide for ease of use in both sit down and stand up position.
Battery & Charging
Ojo features a 48-volt lithium ion battery. The built-in charger is very convenient and you can plug it in anywhere, thanks to the retractable cable that plugs into any standard electrical outlet. However, if your battery is empty, you need to leave it plugged in for 7 hours to get it to a full charge.
Very stable and comfortable
It’s equipped with all the features you can find on high-end road scooter
Wireless key fob and motion activated alarm
Motorcycle-grade pneumatic tires
WE DIDN’T LIKE:
It is heavy and not portable
The battery takes 7 hours to charge
It is expensive
Who is this scooter for?
This scooter is perfect for urban folks who need to ride around town on something that has more substance to it than those Razor-type electric scooters. Overall, this is a bike lane-friendly, zero emissions, fun ride for adults. It is also bike-lane friendly and one of the street legal scooters that doesn’t require license or registration.
